Pacific American Group (formerly PAMCO) was founded in 1984 when Ron Hothem invested in his first piece of industrial real estate, the Oakland Cannery. Since that time, Pacific American Group has grown to include more than a dozen commercial and industrial properties throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 1987, Ron partnered with Linda Childs to form PACAM Logistics Services, which became the exclusive operator of the Oakland Foreign Trade Zone. Under Linda’s leadership, PACAM was the recipient of numerous business awards, including its 2008 number 10 ranking in the San Francisco Business Times Top 100 Women Owned Businesses. After 21 years of ownership, in 2008, Linda sold PACAM Logistics Services to Matson Global Distribution Services, a division of Matson Navigation, held by Alexander and Baldwin in Hawaii. Today, Matson is Pacific American Group’s largest tenant.

When Ron met an untimely death in 1996, Linda took over the helm of Pacific American Group’s real estate portfolio as CEO, in addition to stewarding PACAM. Pacific American Group is managed by long time partner, Francis Meynard. Under Francis’s management, the commercial and industrial property portfolio continues to expand.

Pacific American Group has earned a solid reputation for exceptional property management based on business knowledge, attention to detail and responsiveness to our tenants. We know that our success is based on our tenants’ success, and we strive to fulfill their needs in everything we do.
